Jim Corbett National Park is well known tiger conservation in India located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Jim Corbett national park has tiger population of around 160, which makes it citadel of national animal of India. However on 2nd of April 2011 a tigress at the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand was declared dead after it succumbed to injuries on Saturday. Nevertheless Montek Singh Ahluwalia, the deputy Chairman of Indian Planning Commission said in April in a gathering that the tiger conservation is a matter of high priority for the Central Government of India.
